This year’s Slush Singapore celebrates innovation, technology and entrepreneurship through a series of talks, panels and fireside chats. The theme, Black & White of Slush Singapore 2017 edition, will be highlighted throughout the event on the three stages: White Stage, Black Stage and Grey Stage. Get to know all our speakers taking the stages here.
The WHITE STAGE boosts the pressing issues and instigates thought-provoking perspectives into paradigms of the current and future society by thought leaders and global luminaries – think ethics in Artificial Intelligence, cryptocurrencies, entrepreneurship in North Korea – the list goes on. This stage is where you’ll witness names such as Taizo Son, Pocket Sun, Taavet Hinrikus and Emmie Chang amaze the crowd.
The BLACK STAGE is where we get all up and personal into the insights of the problem solvers and change-makers of the region. Learn about the future of cashless payments, how augmented reality changes the ways we consume, and how do sustainability efforts and hardware fit together – or do they? Catch the talks of Valenzia Yap, Praveen Valu, Masami Sato and many more on this stage.
The GREY STAGE is all about the startup hustle. We’re kicking the Grey Stage program off with two hours of insights from both VCs and entrepreneurs zooming in on fundraising process and how to balance data and gut-feel to make returns on risky and unpredictable startup ventures. From noon, we spice things up and find out which startup emerges as Grand Champion at the Pitch Competition, where the 30 Top Startups face-off in battle. Before the pitching starts, you’ll hear professionals like Tiang Lim Foo, Pia Henrietta Kekäläinen, Chen Lujie and John Sharp share their knowledge.
On these three stages, the themes will revolve around five wider topics known as Future Forward, Our Connected World, Ethics – In to the Grey Areas, Redefining Gaia – Building a Sustainable Planet and Into the Entrepreneur’s Mind. Delve deeper into the themes and the program here.
As Slush is all about helping the next generation of world-conquering founders forward, we provide a great deal of possibilities for startups to take their company to the next level. Oh, and then there’s, of course, the Meeting Area, where startups and investors are brought together to brainstorm future cooperations. Find out more about the startup activities here.
