It is hard to overestimate the importance of easy and fast online payments. For online shoppers, easy payments pave the way for a more effortless and enjoyable shopping experience. For e-commerce businesses, the logic is simple: the easier the payment – the more website visitors will convert into buyers. Needless to say, simple no-hassle payment integration can save a lot of time for developers.
PAYMILL, the Munich-based startup, came on the scene in 2012 to tackle the main pain points in e-payments. Their goal is to simplify the whole process of accepting payments online, especially with regard to onboarding, technical integration and customer support.
Nina Blasberg, Marketing Manager at Paymill, says, “We know how hard it is to grow a successful internet business – and we don’t want you to waste your time thinking about the payment integration. Our mission is to enable everyone to monetize one’s website or mobile application from day one!”
On the technical front, PAYMILL ensures that their API is developer-friendly and enables the easiest possible technical integration.
That being said, the team behind the product consists of top-notch developers, tech talent, payment experts, psychologists, design gurus and business geeks from Germany, Finland, Poland, Pakistan, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, France and the UK. The startup was founded by good friends.
Nina Blasberg highlights: “Even now, since we have grown to about 45 people, creating a family-like atmosphere is still an essential part of our culture. We really like what we do – our shared vision keeps us together.”
“We see the big opportunity in this field and we know how many people we can help with an easy solution like this. We want to foster entrepreneurship in Europe – encourage people to start an online business or service. We see ourselves as a platform for others’ success”.
