Like the State of European Tech, the SEA report is the first of its kind for the region. Coming to us as a real “Why didn’t we think of that (sooner)?!” moment, it has become glaringly obvious that there is a high demand for such an overview of the ecosystem. However, this is not only for our own operations but also for others. The SEA report is being aimed specifically for the media, startups, investors, and community builders… you get the point: the players we count in our attendance numbers every year. Basically, everyone who needs more in-depth knowledge of the Southeast Asian ecosystem will now have better access to it.
Monk’s Hill Ventures has been our main partner in crime helping make this project a reality. They have brought their priceless, unique knowledge of the SEA startup ecosystem to help us create the most relevant report. Others helping along the way include (but aren’t limited to) Funderbeam, Craft, and Crunchbase. Check out the full list of contributors in the link below.
To make the best of our launch of the tech report yesterday in Singapore, we will be hitting the road again once we roll up our roll-ups today in Kuala Lumpur (DOJO KL). After today, we are off to Bangkok on Aug 29 and Jakarta on Aug 31.
We are confident this will put Southeast Asia on the map. While we are well aware of how the region is thriving with opportunities, the message does not always reach everyone around the world, who would be interested. Moreover, it will also be a valuable guide for what kind of operating environment we are talking about.
